Team
The Milton-Freewater Valley Swim Team is a recreational and competitive swimming program open to all swimmers, ages six or older, from Milton-Freewater, Walla Walla, Athena, Weston, and the surrounding areas. Currently the team operates a three month summer program starting in June and ending in August.
The overall program is designed to accommodate and challenge all levels of swimming ability, from recreational summer swimmers to national level year-round competitors.
Facilities
The summer program is held at our $1.5 million Milton-Freewater Family Aquatic Center at Yantis Park in Milton-Freewater.
The facility is designed for family recreation and includes a six lane, official 25 meter short course pool with handicap accessible recreational pool areas, fountains and drop slides as well as high speed slides. The facility also has volleyball areas, sand and playground areas, observation areas, concessions and full locker and dressing facilities.
Practices
This summer practices will be held from 4:10-5:20 pm Monday-Friday at the Milton-Freewater Aquatic Center.
Summer Meets
The Tiger Sharks normally attend 4-5 invitational meets over the summer. The meets are normally held over weekends.
